Infrastructure

  • The college is housed in a single three-storied building . The ground floor houses 6 classrooms and the office that looks into the academic part. The first floor of the college building have the office of the principal, the academic office, teachers’ room, library and 1 virtual classroom. The second floor comprises of 3 classrooms and 4 more classrooms are under construction.
  • The college has 8 computers. All the departments, office and library are mostly computerised.
  • The college has a cycle stand for the students.
  • The college has a large playground.
  • The college has a small library with 800 books in both English and Bengali versions.
  • There is a reading room adjacent to the Library for the students and teachers to sit and read. The college is an institutional member of Bengal Economic Society.
  • The college has 5 departments in the Faculty of Humanities, with Honours taught in 3 subjects. Applications for Honours in the rest two departments have been already submitted to the Department of Higher Education. B.Com. in General course has been introduced from the session 2022-2023.
  • The college has 24 hours water supply, electricity supply and free Wi-Fi.
  • The college has set up rain water harvesting.
  • There is one smart classroom where learning is imparted through virtual methods such as PowerPoint presentations or conducting virtual classes.
  • The whole college is under CCTV surveillance.
  • The Office of the College is fully decentralized with separate sections for accounts, examinations etc. The office is fully computerized and all documents are stored in soft copies.
  • The accounts section operates on Tally software and is online system oriented like the other sections of the office.
  • The fees from students is collected through online method. Collection of fees through offline mode is discouraged.
  • Apart from the above facilities, the college has introduced yoga and karate classes for girls.
  • Science club has been introduced for students where even if there are no science subjects taught , students are guided to have a scientific approach to life and thinking.
  • The college has a small cheap store which provides books, stationaries at subsidised rates. Students can get photocopies done at lesser rate from here too.
