Our Institution is just eleven years old, and gradually expanding facing several teething issues , of which, Financial crunch is the most marked. It has a limited space but it has a very positive attitude regarding the creation and enhancement of infrastructure to facilitate teaching learning process. There are few committees for looking after and taking measures for the infrastructural development of the college like Maintenance and Building Subcommittee, Purchase Subcommittee, Library Committee and Finance Committee. The college authority asks for the requisition from its stakeholders like students, faculty members and non-teaching staff regarding the infrastructural development and after making the requisitions endorsed by the Governing body, the Maintenance and Building Subcommittee invites tender. On the basis of final policy decisions made by the Governing Body, proposals are sent for financial and logistic support to respective gencies/authorities like the UGC, Government of India, Government of West Bengal and the University of Calcutta. All these decisions are made in tune with the current dynamics and requirements to facilitate effective teaching and learning. For any construction work with government financial support, a building committee constituted as per given norms is entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the project.
The on going construction of Hostel building for minority girls is being carried over by the Office of the Block Development Officer , Uluberia II. In case of inviting tenders,the college, as a rule, opts for the lowest rate given by the tenders and proceed.
The mode of teaching is both
conventional Chalk & Talk method along with Digital mode.
One of the classrooms have been upgraded to smart classroom with high end interactive digital
board, desktop computer, PA system with wi-fi facility. A students’ cheap store is renovated which has study books and accessories needed for students at discounted rates.
A photocopying facilities for students and teachers is also available within the campus at library and office for quick and easy access.
The campus is also Wi-Fi enabled for everyone.
Being a new college it is growing gradually in all aspects.
The college helds Annual Sports every year. Students, Teachers, Non-teaching Staff and Alumni of the college participate in the several events.
We have a big play ground in the college. The college allow Cricket, Football and Kabaddi for the students. Students participate in several competitions in individual as well as group events.
Carom board is made available for the students in the Students’ Common room.
In regard to Cultural Activities, Students participate in Annual Programmes like Freshers’ Welcome, Independence Day, Republic Day ,Teachers’ Day, College Annual Programme and the like.
